Job Description

As our Junior Frontend Developer, you will bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation. Your primary focus will be translating UI/UX design wireframes into actual code that produces visual elements of our clients’ applications and websites.

Because we build a majority of our clients’ digital ecosystems on WordPress, absolute proficiency in WordPress is a must. You will work closely with our designers, marketing strategists, and senior developers to build responsive, fast, and SEO-friendly websites.

What You’ll Do

 

  1. Build & Develop: Create responsive, functional, and visuallyxq appealing websites from scratch or by modifying existing templates, primarily using WordPress.

  2. Theme & Plugin Management: Install, configure, and customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific client needs.

  3. Collaborate: Work hand-in-hand with our UI/UX designers and digital marketers to ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and marketing campaigns (e.g., landing pages).

  4. Optimize: Ensure websites are optimized for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.

  5. Troubleshoot: Identify, debug, and resolve frontend issues and bugs on existing client websites.

  6. Maintain: Perform routine site maintenance, updates, and backups for our WordPress portfolio.

 

What You Bring (Requirements)

 

  1. WordPress Mastery: Deep understanding of the WordPress ecosystem, including custom themes, page builders (like Elementor, Divi, or WPBakery), and plugin management.

  2. Core Frontend Skills: Solid knowledge of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.

  3. JavaScript Basics: A foundational understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., jQuery).

  4. Responsive Design: Experience building mobile-first, responsive websites that look great on any device.

  5. Problem-Solving Skills: A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to troubleshooting technical issues.

  6. Communication: Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members.

Bonus Points For:

 

  1. Basic understanding of PHP and how it interacts with WordPress.
  2. Familiarity with code versioning tools (such as Git).
  3. Understanding of basic SEO principles and how frontend code impacts search rankings.
  4. Experience with Webflow, Shopify, or other CMS platforms.
